Poor Customer Service

Been calling for months after filing claim for water line replacement. Told to submit bill after no response when initial claim was made. Every time I called was placed on a long hold and eventually disconnected. No response from company, no call back or email. This is a scam.

I called my water company in Tennessee they told me that they have no connection to American Water Resources.From all the bad reviews it seems to be a scam!!!!!!

When all the reviews on here are the same complaints or similar, it means it’s a problem. Also, I’ve called multiple numbers to get help and it’s the same response.

In the end, no help.

“I will email a supervisor and they will give you a call back” “The supervisor is in a meeting” “Let me transfer you to someone who can help”…music…phone hangs up No. Help.

The worst service to file a claim, when in an emergency situation. They love to put you on hold and check and say they will call you back

cant get approval for their contractor, who has given them an estimate to get service done. taking days while my water is shut off... What a terrible customer service experience.

They continued to charge me after contract was up

Deceptively sent me a letter that my service was about to expire and I needed to renew. I wanted it to lapse, so I did nothing thinking it would expire. They kept charging me monthly after the year. I am hassling with them for a refund, but so far, nothing but promises. I think they hope people will give up.

No coverage!

Had a water leak. Shut off the water. Since this was an urgent repair, I called and got a plumber to get it repaired. Called AWR and spoke to an agent, and she told me that since I called a plumber first that AWR would not reimburse the cost of the plumber. So I told them to cancel the contract and I would not re-new it. Now they are sending me information on Sewage coverage as well as wanting me to renew the water line coverage. What Nerve.

NO water heater service

I have been waiting over 2 weeks to have AWR send out a Plummer to service my water heater. I called numerous times only to be told ,"We cant find anyone to help with your water heater problem. I cant afford to hire someone .,and why should I . I have a contract with AWR. They are continuously giving me the run around. I am a senior citizen, however every two hours I have to clean up water in my laundry room, I use towels, bed absorbency pads , body absorbency pads and anything I can think of to soak up the enormous amount of water from the leak

I called in for a claim on last Wednesday one week later I still have not heard anything

First of all I think this is ridiculous I called in a claim last Wednesday I have not heard anything it was for electrical if they know they do not have contractors for electrical why offer the policy then when you call them on the phone they hang up on you I think this is redilious I am going to looking for a better company

City advised against getting "contract" from them.

Went to the city and was told, "We have had nothing but problems with this company. Even if they did show up to do the work we wouldn't issue them a permit to do it".

Unwanted mail

I tried to call these people to tell him to stop sending me this crap because I knew it was BS but no one answered so then I sent I went online on their website and did a chat gave him my address and ask him to please stop calling me I also gave them my last name and she said I need more information and I asked her if she could read and she said if you talk like that to me I'll have to hang up well I told her fine I gave her all the information I really don't know what else they wanted but anyway I told her I was going to report them to the vva Better Business Association and then I started looking at the complaints well I'm not surprised people don't fall for this *** find a good plumber

I've tried several days to connect with someone using the different phone numbers listed for American Water Resoures, and CAN NOT ever get through to a human! They take my money EVERY MONTH!

Over billing

These folks lied to us about the amount due and sold us another insurance without letting us know. They have had me on hold for over and hour now and I do not expect to be able to speak to them. Do not let them sell you a lie. Do not use this company unless you have money to throw away. If I ever get through on this so called customer line I intend to cancel all the so called insurance I have with them. Never again will I allow this thief into my world.

Customer service Sucks!!

My account was charged twice to my credit card for a month. I called snd asked for refund . Was told refund would be 6-8 days. Now a month later and 5 phone calls still o credit. I asked to speak to supervisor and still waiting for a call even tho I was one phone for over 1 hr yesterday with a rep. Interesting how my charges can go thru in seconds, but unable to get credit after a month. Very, very disappointed in the service. Now I wonder what would happen if I actually need to claim on program?

I have been cancelled after claimed twice this year regarding the sewer line issue.

I just received e-mail notified me that my sewer line protection plan was cancelled. n August 6. I called and asked why. I was told that the area my property located is not covered. I should contact NYC DEP. I understand that I have claimed twice of sewer line issues this year. I have been in the plan more than 10 years. I total claimed 5 times. I was kicked out.
